Network will release the classic Bela Lugosi chiller The Corpse Vanishes onto DVD on January 26th with the pocket friendly price tag of £2:99! Deranged scientist Dr Lorenz, played by Bela Lugosi, is obsessed with keeping his aged wife eternally youthful. He embarks on a killing spree murdering virgin brides and storing their bodies to extract the precious glandular fluids he requires to make a rejuvenating serum for her. One for people who like their horror very straight.

Principle photography had begun on the new version of the cult ’80’s shocker, Night of the Demons. The film tells the story of a Halloween party gone terribly awry when six teens in an abandoned, gothic New Orleans mansion are stalked by demon spirits.  It promises to feature some of the most shocking and cutting edge makeup effects ever seen in a horror film. The cast includes Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, Diora Baird and Edward Furlong with Adam Gierasch in the director’s chair.
