On Sunday 24th October fear fans in Scotland will have the chance to attend an all day event of horrific fun - organised by Arrow Films, Cult Labs and High Rising Productions at the Glasgow Film Theatre.
Horror fans will be treated to four frightful features, a quartet of celebrity guests and prize giveaways! Beginning at 12.30pm, the event kicks off with the UK premiere of Frank (Basket Case) Henenlotter's new documentary Herschell Gordon Lewis: The Godfather Of Gore in which the riotous director of Blood Feast and 2000 Maniacs, dubbed the very first "splatter" movies, gives a light hearted look back at his controversial career.
Following this, Arrow Video presents Island Of Death - uncut on the UK screen for the first time. This former video nasty has been banned and censored worldwide but Arrow is now proud to present this cult favourite about a pair of psychopaths running riot across a Greek island in all of its full gory glory. Making the showing even more special, the director Nico Mastorakis will be in attendance for an audience Q & A.
Then, at 5.30, comes the WORLD premiere of the Expose remake (not entitled Stalker) directed by Spandau Ballet's main man Martin Kemp and starring Hollywood sex siren Jane March (The Lover, Colour Of Night). The gorgeous Miss March will be joining them for a fruitful chat after the showing.
Finally, Arrow Video presents the closing movie - Demons on the big screen: the gruesome Dario Argento produced zombie shocker that still packs a punch. To make things even more exciting, the film's fantastic effects expert Sergio Stivaletti will be in attendance for a chinwag... A boost for any self respecting fan of Italian gore. And if that is not enough, the Demons screening will also play host to a Q & A with cannibal holocaust star Francesca Ciardi, who will appear on stage after a trailer reel from her most notorious starring venture plays out.
All this plus prize giveaways (who will win that autographed Tobe Hooper DVD?), an aftershow bash at Nice 'N Sleazys which runs until 3am and more!
