Well that was FrightFest 2011 and I think all who attended will agree that is truly was one of the best yet. The programme was an eclectic mix from all horror genres and from all around the world.
That's the beauty of FrightFest, you get to experience films one the big screen that you wouldn't normally have the chance to. Titles such as Tucker & Dale Vs Evil, Chillerama and Saint looked amazing up on Screen 1. But what about the wonderful pieces on the Discovery Screen? There was the superb Stormhouse, Midnight Son and The Devil's Business.
I have to highlight Cristian Solimeno's stunning piece The Glass Man, it left me speechless. If Andy Nyman doesn't pick up every Best Actor award when it's released then there's no justice in the award ceremony world. A truly beautiful and moving piece of cinema.
I also have to mention the International Short Film Showcase which was sponsored by the Horror Channel. This celebration of the short film form really raised the bar for this sort of entertainment and we were proud to be associated with such an event.
Tomorrow I'll post the annual Ultimate Round-Up of FrightFest 2011 where I'll list the highlights of the five-day festival of fear, until then I think its time for some shut eye!
