REC Genesis, the long-awaited and highly anticipated third instalment of the planned four-part REC saga has finally arrived, coming to DVD and Blu-ray on 3rd September (after premiering at Film4 FrightFest on 24 August) - and by all accounts its more than worth the wait!
Paco Plaza, co-writer and co-director of the first two films (along with Jaume Belaguero) goes it alone for this outing, breathing new life into proceedings by taking things in a whole new and rather smart direction.
The tone is more akin to Shaun Of The Dead and Army Of Darkness with its zom-rom-com elements.
The end result is billed as a surprisingly scary, funny and touching horror film with some seriously iconic imagery - if only all brides carried chainsaws!
