The Possession is one of the most anticipated horror films of the year and it's been made the Horror Channel Movie of the Month. Presented by Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures, The Possession from director Ole Bornedal is a cracking shocker that concerns a family and an ancient evil.

Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

Those of you who are lucky enough to have tickets can see The Possession at FrightFest The 13th on August 27th whilst the rest of the country will have to wait until August the 31st when it goes on general release.
