The FrightFest Variety Award was a wonderful celebration of the work of Greg Nicotero. This legendary figure in the world of effects make-up is truly deserved. We met up with Greg and gotta say he's one of the nicest people in the industry.

FrightFest The 13th has a very strong Italian flavour to it this year. Today we had the stunning but disturbing Paura 3D and just now the rather beautiful nod to classic 70s Giallo, Tulpa. Both films showed that Italy is on the verge of a great renaissance of horror film making. They tackled strange and sinister subjects in different ways and at all times grabbed the audience’s attention.

I can’t wait to see what the Manetti Bros (Paura) and Federico Zampaglione (Tulpa) come up with next.
