Only a few days now until the FrightFest All-Nighter Spooktacular at the Vue West End kicks-off the Halloween season with a six pack of shock sensation. But Team FrightFest wanted to give you the heads up on what you can expect on October 27th from the witching hour of 6pm onwards.

The already announced line-up of the most must-see movies of the moment includes Excision, The Tall Man, Bait 3D, The Helpers, plus their showcase retrospective Zombie Flesheaters. Now they can reveal that the title of their Surprise Film is the World Premiere of director Andrew Goth's controversial Gallowwalkers. Sergio Leone meets Alejandro Jodorowsky in the cowboy zombie mash-up about a mysterious gunslinger and his curse from God - everyone he shoots returns to life. Soon he is being hunted by a posse of his undead victims in this fabulous horror fantasy starring Wesley Snipes and Kevin Howarth. Gallowwalkers is the movie you never thought would see the light of day, but such a challenge is one we relish at FrightFest to give our audience the extra added thrills they deserve.

And that goes for their special star guest too. They invited him to FrightFest in 2008 for the premiere of Martyrs, the super-shocker that has since become a classic genre milestone. Now you can welcome back the one and only Pascal Laugier who will be introducing the UK premiere of his latest tortuous thriller The Tall Man and answering questions about it afterwards. A mature work of astonishing depth, emotional range, visual dexterity and bravura imagery with an unforgettable central performance by Jessica Biel, The Tall Man has become a massive box-office hit in France under the title The Secret. So FrightFest is overjoyed to be hosting the premiere of Laugier's latest masterwork and are elated that they can renew their friendship with one of the most exciting talents currently working in the horror fantasy field today.

"Showing Martyrs at FrightFest in 2008 remains one of my best memories. I was insulted by bikers and other big guys covered with horror tattoos just because my movie had shocked them. Wow!!! I'm so proud of that!!! The Tall Man won't provoke these extreme reactions, I'm sure. It's a much less radical film, but still a very special and personal one though. So I'm totally excited to be coming back to Leicester Square - thanks to my dear friends at FrightFest".

Other surprises on the night will include a special presentation on the horror compendium everyone is talking about, The ABC's Of Death. Plus the first announcement of the hotly anticipated sequel to one of FrightFest's banner presentations of the past few years. We've invited along other celebrity guests too so mixing and mingling in the Vue foyer will be more fun than ever. Paul, Ian and Alan have spent the last month scouring other world fantasy festivals and will be delighted to talk about their travels and all the upcoming movies they have seen. Don't forget Alan has also just recorded an all-new DVD commentary track for the upcoming Arrow Blu-ray release of Zombie Flesheaters and will be happy to answer any questions about it and his rather unusual relationship with director Lucio Fulci.

Halloween. Great movies. Good friends. Star guests. What could be better as the nights draw in, the frost begins to bite, Christmas beckons and FrightFest Glasgow looms on the horizon. Speaking of the latter, the dates for your diary are February 22/23 and we are already working towards inviting one of the biggest genre names over to Scotland.

Don't forget, the FrightFest Halloween All-Nighter goes on the road this year too.
