Are you ready for Hell Fest?
By James Whittington, Wednesday 24th October 2018

Strap in for the ride of your life and death!

A terrifying tribute and modern twist on classic bloody slasher fun, Hell Fest looks to be the perfect treat for anyone who doesn't want Halloween to end.

Every year, thousands follow Hell Fest to experience fear at the ghoulish carnival of nightmares. But for one visitor, Hell Fest is not the attraction - it is a hunting ground. An opportunity to slay in plain view of a gawking audience, too caught up in the terrifyingly fun atmosphere to recognise the horrific reality playing out before their eyes. As the body count and frenzied excitement of the crowds continue to rise, he turns his masked gaze to Natalie, Brooke, Taylor and their boyfriends who will fight to survive the night.

Paying homage to the slasher films of the '80s, Hell Fest is played out across a lush neon playground where danger, and the next gruesome (and surprisingly inventive) kill, waits around every corner.

Hell Fest opens in cinemas on 16th November.

One of several 'animal-in-the-title' cash-ins released in the wake of Dario Argento's box-office smash The Bird with the Crystal Plumage, The Iguana with the Tongue of Fire is a gloriously excessive giallo that boasts a rogues gallery of perverse characters; violent, fetishized murders, and one of the genre's most nonsensical, red-herring laden plots (which sees almost every incidental character hinted at potentially being the killer).

Set in Dublin (a rather surprising giallo location), Iguana opens audaciously with an acid-throwing, razor-wielding maniac brutally slaying a woman in her own home. The victim's mangled cor...
