By James Whittington, Wednesday 4th December 2019 Following their highly acclaimed release on Limited Edition Blu-ray, Second Sight is delighted to announce classic Amicus horrors Asylum and The House That Dripped Blood are set to arrive as Standard Edition Blu-rays, complete with a slew of special features and new reversible sleeve artwork created by Graham Humphreys on 6 January.
Iconic 1972 Amicus horror anthology Asylum from Psycho writer Robert Bloch and director Roy Ward Baker (A Night to Remember), follows Doctor Martin (Robert Powell - The Italian Job, The Thirty Nine Steps) as he arrives for a job interview at a secluded asylum for the incurably insane. He must prove himself by listening to the macabre tales of four inmates to determine which is the former head of the asylum who experienced a breakdown. We join him on the investigation of four hair-raising horrors... Network Distributing has concluded a deal with Hammer Films to form Hammer Studios Ltd. The new company will manage and control Hammer's interests in its substantial library of content such as The Woman in Black (2012), Let Me In (2010), Dracula (1958), The Abominable Snowman (1957) and The Quatermass Experiment (1953), and will see heavy investment both in restoration and new production development from both its owned and newly created IP.
Network's Managing Director Tim Beddows and Financial Director Jonathan Lack, and Hammer's CEO Simon Oakes will head the new company.

Renowned composer/director John Carpenter and his creative foils Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies have announced details for the impending release of the original motion picture soundtrack for the fiercely anticipated second installment in the new Halloween trilogy, Halloween Kills, from Universal Pictures, Miramax, and Blumhouse, directed by David Gordon Green and starring horror icon Jamie Lee Curtis. Originally released on the 31st of July 2015, the vinyl edition of John Carpenter's classic 1981 thriller, Escape From New York mirrored the expanded CD release from 2000, with over 20 minutes of previously unreleased music plus music from scenes deleted from the final print and original dialogue highlights.
The masters for that CD were re-mixed from the original multi-track session tapes by long-time Carpenter associate Alan Howarth.
